As of June 12, 2010 wireless microphones that operate in the 700 MHz band (from 695 MHz to 805MHz) will no longer be permitted to be used by order of the FCC. If you are not shure if your mic in effected by this order, go to http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones/manufacturers.html or call 814/938-6466 ext 102. Also Spotts Music Center will no longer be able to repair 700 MHz wireless equipment. John Frederick, SMC service

John, I have a Fender Delux 85 that has a broken main input. I walked by and bumped the cord while it was plugged in and it broke. The second input was fine for years but now I think the ground is messed up as I get intereference (radio waves) and feedback and the annoying hum. I took the Amp apart to look at the circuit board and the input jack is incased in a small plasic box which i have not messed with. I live in Bradford and was wondering if you could ball park an estimate for me and I could either drive it down or ship it depending on the cost. Also would you need the cabinet as well or just the electronics?

    Thank You,

Shawn, if it’s just an input jack the cost of the repair shouldn’t be too much. Give John a call at 814-938-7699 to talk to him directly! Thanks! – Mark
